Went to Bunnings to get the the Brushless Jet Blower but decided against it as you required 2 batteries..cost didn't warrant it…!
Then saw this on offer for a complete cordless grass trimmer and shear kit with 1.5ah battery with charger.Seemed pretty cost effective considering battery and charger could be about $45-50,so worked out to be about $10 for trimmer and shear skin …Seemed pretty good value considering they are selling Trimmer and Shear alone for $89.98 !
Not as cheap as the $149 offer before for the non-brushless version. This is the updated Brushless version.
Non-brushless version is $249 with the 4AH battery.

From what i could see, normally $89 but down to match Aldi. Can't say I have used this but reviews do not look good.

I'm trying to start changing my corded tools to cordless.
Thought to start with Ryobi. This seems good value but you need to buy a lot and some of them might not be used.

Came across with this hedge trimmer combo from totaltools. Seemed good value.
$299 total price for the above seemed very good value.
If buying this, then all the tools in the future I might stuck with makita. Some people also meantioned that Makita isn't as good as it used to be.

This battery hedge trimmer had been $329 about a month ago and has slowly dropped to $249. Been looking out for a deal on this for ages, not as good as some last year but not too bad.
Only a couple of cons - not the brushless version and only a 3Ah battery. I have bought it anyway as I have a 4Ah battery already (with a chainsaw and blower).

In what appears to be a competitive response to Aldi deals next weekend the Ozito PXC 18V Pole Hedge Trimmer - Skin Only is reduced down to $99. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the corresponding Pole Pruner skin only, nor does there appear to be an actual combo with both attachments in what would be a proper match for the Aldi deal.. At least i could not find in my area.
If you do want both hedge trimmer and pruner attachments the Aldi deal is clearly superior price wise, even with cost of also buying the small battery kit. However if you don't mind forking out a little more $ to stay within the Ozito system, you can buy the Ozito PXC 18V Pruner Attachment for normal price $57.98. This is what i have done today for convenience sake as i prefer being able to deal with Bunnings for warranty (i.e. walk in swap over warranty replacement if required).
